- Enable USB debugging on your device.
- Head to Settings
- Scroll down and tap on the “developer options”.
- Check USB Debugging option and debugging will be enabled on your device running on ICS.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap on “Applications” then “development”.
- Now, check USB debugging option from there.
- Your mobile phone should be 100% Charged.
- Backup all the files that are stored on your device.
- Your device should be running on Stock Android 2.1 Eclair.
Install Android 2.3.7 Gingerbread on Samsung Galaxy 5 GT-I5503
- Download Odin Tool and Google Apps Package using the download link.
- Extract the downloaded file using some unzipping tool.
- Now, connect your mobile phone to your computer.
- First copy “update-cm-7.1.0-RC1-MADTEAM-v1.6-signed.zip” file to your mobile phone.
- Turn off your mobile phone now and now boot into download mode. To get into download mode press and hold Volume DOWN + HOME + Power Button and wait for the boot.
- Select files by clicking on respective tabs: Click on “OPS Tab” and select the “EUROPA.ops” file. Tick mark the one-package checkbox and then click the “One Package” tab to select “ClockworkMod-Galaxy5-v0.4.tar” file.
- After you’re done with selecting both of these files, just hit the START button and the installation procedure will start.
- Now, your device will itself boot into recovery. Select “Wipe date/factory reset” and “Wipe cache partition”. After both caches are cleared, select “advanced” followed by “Wipe Dalvik Cache” and clear it off.
- Go back to the main recovery screen now and select “reboot system now”.
